To be fair, we were warned ahead of time that Death Stranding wouldn’t be at E3 2017. Even so, Hideo Kojima’s reputation for tricking fans meant that there was still a slim possibility the game would make a surprise appearance during Sony’s E3 press conference. Unfortunately, Death Stranding was nowhere to be seen at the show, meaning fans are still largely in the dark about its gameplay features, story, and whether or not there is any truth to the Emma Stone casting rumo
As it stands, it seems like Microsoft’s E3 2017 press conference will mostly focus on Project Scorpio, but that doesn’t mean it will be free of Adventure games money guide. Fans can expect to see some big name Xbox One console exclusives on display, including the likes of Crackdown
Controlling combat is the familiar button mashing affair that gamers are used to with Fable . Battles normally boil down to repeatedly hitting the X button (melee attack) with the occasional magic spell thrown in for good measure. The combat can get boring quickly, but every now and then the hero pulls out a fancy finishing move that makes it worth not checking out during battle. The problem is the finishing moves are completely random and players can do the same combat actions 10 times yet only see the finishing move o
However, in the last few months, rumors have been swirling about a long-awaited return to form for the oddball, extremely British franchise. While no official announcement has been made, there are rumblings all over the internet about a new Fable being in development. Whether this will officially be Fable 4 , a reboot, a remake, or some kind of spin-off, is all unclear. What I’ve put together is a list of the wishes that have been flying around over the last half year. Since the cancellation of Fable: Legends , a lot of these rumors have gone into overdr
We know that a new Smash Bros. is inevitable, but the real question is will it be on the Wii 2 or 3DS, or both? Hopefully this question will be revealed in the coming weeks, but in the meantime hardcore fanboys of the franchise, such as myself have Brawl to keep us entertained while we wait for more new on Smash Bros.
Getting together with three other friends makes playing Fable Heroes feel less empty, but after one or two levels you’d be hard pressed to find anyone that was having fun. It should be mentioned that the game deals with death in a pretty clever way — players can still help defeat enemies in a ghostly form, but they cannot collect coins — but dying will not be too much of a worry, even on the harder difficulties. Hopping online, on the other hand, devolves into running around trying to snipe coins, rather than actually worrying about killing anyth
Half-Life 3 is one of the biggest mysteries in the gaming world today. Going even beyond that, Half Life 2: Episode 3 is one of the biggest mysteries in the gaming world today. While Valve has officially announced that they won’t be making any more episodic content , the plans to make an Episode 3 were revealed long ago. As if to say it’s never coming, Valve has it listed as arriving along with the Rapture on their Valve-Time development release schedule p
Remakes have proven to be money-makers in the past, but reproducing a remastered version of a game so beloved and fresh in the memory of Halo fans is a risky proposition. If 343 Industries is in fact working on a remake of the game that started it all, then we have to wonder what the developers mean when they say they’ll be bringing “dramatic innovations” to the property . Does this mean the story or delivery will be overhauled, or will the improvements apply strictly to multipla
Fable Heroes does provide players another chance to journey through iconic Fable locations like Bowerstone and Aurora (in their traditional and in the more challenging dark form), but adventuresome travelers should be wary the game is very straight forward. In fact, the group is prevented from advancing even the tiniest bit forward without dispatching every
Fable 3 is without question one of the biggest and most anticipated releases of the year. After spending a week with the game I can say with certainty that it’s worth the price of admission, but it’s not perfect. Developed by Lionhead Studios and published by Microsoft Game Studio, Fable 3 takes the franchise in a more accessible direction, opening up the world of RPG games to anyone who cares to pick up a control
Even if combos were integrated into the combat, the camera would still be a problem. During battle, at random intervals, finishing moves will be in slo-mo and the camera will zoom in on the downed enemy. Not only is this disorientating when surrounded by enemies, but while the camera is zooming the other enemies don’t stop attacking. While battling five wolves, the camera may zoom in to show one being killed, meanwhile the other four wolves are still attacking and draining life. Since the game isn’t difficult this normally won’t result in death, but it’s still poor des
